2018 All Star Game Voting Now Open

The 2018 MLB Pro All-Star Game ballot is now available on StatsLab

The 2018 All-Star Game rosters will be announced on July 15 and the game will be played on July 17.

The 2018 MLB Pro All-Star Game will be held on July 17th in Washington D.C. at Nationals Park.

Nationals Park will be hosting the All-Star Game for the first time.

When asked what it means to be hosting the game, Nationals owner Fred Lerner said, “hosting the best of baseball means a lot. Baseball fans here in Washington are among the most passionate fans in the league. In addition to our fans, showcasing our great city is an exciting time.”

In last year’s All-Star Game, the American League jumped out to a 5-0 lead in first inning and never looked back as they won 16-4. Kansas City Royal Gary Sanchez led the way for the AL going for 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs.

This season, Sanchez is currently hitting tied for the AL lead in home runs and RBI’s while sitting second in batting average.  Joining Sanchez as likely All-Stars in 2018 include two time All-Star Gary Copeland, and the defending AL MVP Nomar Mazara.

The AL pitching staff could be led by a pair of Baltimore Orioles in Steve White and Brady Aiken. White had a five-game stretch of going at least 8 innings in which he allowed a total of two runs.

In the National League, the likes of Braulio Pardo, Matt Den Dekker, and Gincarlo Stanton lead the way. Stanton, in his first full season in San Diego is currently hitting .331 with an NL best 19 homers.
