|Atlanta Braves, Yankees Agree to Trade
Monday, February 25th, 2019Both sides appear content with the trade finalized today that will send 28-year-old RHP Matt Barnes and 25-year-old SS Chris Brown to the New York Yankees, while the Atlanta Braves will receive 27-year-old SS Chad Scott, 29-year-old RHP Chris Gray and 21-year-old RF Wendell Ayers.
“This is a move that filled a few gaps in our roster,” said Brenton Heffernan, Braves general manager.
For his part, the Yankees GM said the trade was made “in the best interest of our organization’s future.” BNN analysts reported that on paper the trade seemed to be a plus for both ball clubs.
