Pirates GM Steps Down After Three Year Stint
After a brief meeting with Pittsburgh Pirates Owner Robert Nutting, Jason Toms informed the media that he has decided to step down as Pirates General Manager.
Toms spent the past three seasons with the Pirates. The Pirates are coming off of a 70-92 season and enter 2019 with key pieces entering the final year of contracts.
Nutting released a brief statement on the sudden news:
“The entire organization appreciates all that Jason did for our us. He was a tireless worker who was doing what was best for the organization. We wish him the very best of luck, he will always be a part of the Pirates family.”
