Arizona has clinched the top spot in the division for the 1st time, and now has to be considered one of the favorites in the annual challenge for the World Series. A reporter from the Arizona Times caught up with some fans who were celebrating outside of Chase Field when they heard the news. “I’ve always believed in this team. American League East Won: Toronto Crowned Monday, September 14th, 2020 Toronto Blue Jays fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the American League East. “There’s no reason to believe we can’t win it all,” reliever Aroldis Chapman said bluntly. “Whether or not we’re favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the World Series home to Toronto.” The division crown is the 3rd for the Blue Jays.
