Breaking News: Ownership Announces Retirement of General Manager
The Texas Rangers have been in great hands under the guidance of now former General Manager Kevin Gabri. Gabri took over as Rangers General Manager prior to the 2016 MLB Pro season. In each season under his leadership, the Rangers saw their win total grow year over year. In five and a half seasons with Gabri leading the way, the Rangers went 447-418 (51.7%).
On Monday afternoon, Gabri informed Club President, CEO, and the franchise’s most recognizable face Nolan Ryan that it was time for Gabri to move on.
The now former General Manager released the following public statement:
It was a tough decision but I feel that if there are to be changes going forward with this team that it be given to someone new. I want to thank Mr. Ryan for for allowing me to be part of this great organization. I hate to leave in the middle of the season but It will give the new GM time so they don’t make any rash decisions… All the best to the Rangers.

The Rangers organization have also made it official that the franchise will be moving to Globe Life Field at the start of the 2022 MLB Pro season.
