The champagne was flowing in the Minnesota Twins clubhouse today, as men quickly transformed into boys with the realization that the club had clinched the American League Central.
“We can relax a bit, for now anyway,” said manager Suezo Kamida. “I’m proud of every guy in the room for what we’ve done this season.”
The club has a 89-64 record as they head towards the playoffs in search of their 2nd World Series championship. First Baseman Gary Copeland said the team is happy to clinch what is the club’s 4th division title, but “wouldn’t be happy until we’re lifting that trophy.”
