Under Hastings’ leadership, the Orioles saw notable successes, including a division championship in 2022 and a trip to the League Championship Series in 2023. His overall record with the team stands at 396 wins and 439 losses, with a winning percentage of .474.

Owner Peter Angelos expressed gratitude for Hastings’ contributions, stating, “Drew has been a vital part of our organization, bringing a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the Orioles. His efforts in building a competitive team during his time here will not be forgotten. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

He understood the importance of teamwork, not just on the field but in the front office as well. I appreciate his commitment to our goals and the strong foundation he helped create for our team.”

The Orioles will begin the search for a new General Manager immediately.

Drew Hastings Statement:

“I want to thank Peter Angelos, Chris White, and everyone in the Orioles organization for their support during my time as General Manager. It has been an incredible journey filled with challenges and achievements that I will always cherish. I believe now is the right time for me to step aside and allow the team to pursue new directions. I’m proud of what we accomplished together, and I look forward to watching the Orioles continue to grow and succeed in the future.”

From The League Office: This was a GM decision. Drew steps away in very good standing with the league office and a potential return in a future season is something we would welcome from our end.
