Silver Linings: Eric Braun

Today’s Silver Lining…

SP Eric Braun was acquired from Detroit in mid-May for a deal involving SP Kyle Cody.  Although Braun is already on the 40 man roster at age 21, the White Sox have kept him at AAA since the trade.  In 15 starts during that time, Braun has pitched 77.2 innings but allowed only 11 walks.  An enticing stat for a ML starting rotation that has issued 425 free bases on the season, tied for 13th in the AL.    Braun is scheduled to make his next AAA start on Tuesday night, but there have been rumblings that he may receive his promotion to the southside of Chicago before that start and that he could potentially make his White Sox debut later in the week vs Oakland.
