At the age of 27, Taylor Sparks might have some potential he hasn’t realized yet — if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Atlanta third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .440 batting average. For his efforts Sparks collected the National League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs last week in 6 games.
