Elliott Jenkins has led his Seattle Mariners to a League Championship Series victory.
Seattle’s right fielder was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-2 and eliminating the Toronto Blue Jays.
“See the ball, hit the ball,” he said. “It’s simple what I did this series.”
The club advanced to the World Series with a 13-3 triumph at T-Mobile Park in the deciding game.
Jenkins was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .308 average, as well as 3 home runs and 6 RBI.
The Seattle Mariners will play against the Atlanta Braves in the next round. Atlanta won their series against the Milwaukee Brewers 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
